Travis muttered, “You understand crying and begging, that is all.”
Mr. Pierce looked at him.
“You placed your hands on the sole beneficiary in front of multiple witnesses.”
Travis’s smirk faded.
Marjorie’s voice thinned into a whisper.
“Sole beneficiary?”
A ripple moved through the mourners.
Mr. Pierce removed several documents from the briefcase and held them beneath a protective folder while the woman with the tablet began recording.
“The late Samuel and Helena Voss leave all personal assets, international equity holdings, intellectual property royalties, private trusts, and majority control of Voss Meridian Group to their daughter, Nora Isabelle Voss.”
Warren’s face drained of color.
